Time for another adventure

Its been way too long since I've been able to write on here. Aside from a flying visit to the Netherlands in December, I've been stationary for almost a year - and boy do I feel it! My feet are itching to get moving again so I 've packed my bags and am off to explore the exotic country of Morocco in 2 days time.

As a child I once went on holiday to Gibraltar with some family friends. My overriding memory of

the trip is gazing incredulously over the strait towards Morocco, imagining bustling souks, rolling sand dunes and rocking kasbahs... I didnt know it then, but that moment was the start of my love affair with Africa. Ever since I spent almost 6 months travelling around the south and east of the continent in 2009, I have felt compelled to return.

The north of the continent is obviously going to be very different from the parts I know - not sure what to expect, as I haven't had time to do my usual abundance of pre-trip research. I booked the trip months ago and have been so busy that I almost forgot that I was going! Thanks to the wonder that is easyjet, I fly into Marrakech on Saturday, spend one night getting to know my fellow travellers, and then after a single night in the capital we set off for the legendary city of Casablanca. From there we head into the Atlas Mountains and on into the Sahara to spend the night camping with a Berber tribe!

Have a great time - Morocco is truly one of my favourite countries to visit. After 2 trips I still want to go back!

Looks like an awesome tour. Enjoy. And be braver than I, I couldn't eat a sheeps head. And look out for castles in the atlas mountains. Made of mud!
